I want to say something clearly at the start: I loved my career.
I loved the creativity, the people, the problem-solving, and the feeling of building something impactful. And part of me still misses it.
But I also learned what happens when constant pressure becomes chronic stress. Burnout and exhaustion made me look not only at the demands around me, but at the patterns within me: perfectionism, overgiving, and always pushing through instead of listening to what I needed.
For years, I explored different approaches to personal growth and wellbeing, from coaching and meditation to breathwork, nervous system regulation, somatics, movement, plant medicine, energy healing, and sound. Along the way, I began finding a more sustainable way to pursue my ambitions, with more space for relationships, creativity, and joy.
As I noticed how many women around me were navigating similar struggles, the seed for Alive Studio began to form.
When my corporate chapter shifted in early 2026, I took the opportunity to go deeper, traveling through Bali and Thailand for intensive training in breathwork, BioDevelopment, sound healing, and somatic practices.
I fell even more deeply in love with this work. With the healing power of the breath, the release, clarity, and deep calm it can bring. The freedom and joy of movement, dance, and self-expression. The permission to be playful, wild, and free.
And perhaps most profoundly, with the experience of being held by a community where I could let more of myself be seen, even the vulnerable, tender, and messy parts, and be met with love, acceptance, and care.
Those experiences lit a fire in my soul to create spaces where others could experience that same healing, freedom, connection, and belonging.
They also brought the vision for Alive Studio into focus: bringing together my corporate experience with the practices I'd fallen in love with, to help ambitious women feel more calm, grounded, connected, and alive while creating lives they genuinely love.
